After a long day at work there is nothing better than coming home to Molly, Rosa, and Sammy and going on a nice family walk. That might sound cheesy but it's nice to just walk, talk, and listen. We often just walk in our neighborhood but sometimes we load up the dogs and go to one of the nearby forest preserves. There are great paths that go for miles.
I took this photo above on one of our walks this week.
I love how you can see Rosa's floppy ears.
I almost caught the shadow of Sammy's ears standing straight up but
he got skittish when I took the photo so it looks like he has numbs for ears.
I also snapped this photo of the prairie that surrounds us on these walks. The sky was so blue and the contrast with the prairie grass was so comforting.
It's hard to belileve this photo was taken in Naperville.
We weren't out in the country somewhere.
Ahhh the magic of protecting some nature from development.
