YAY! The bathroom remodel is complete. When we bought our house almost 2 years ago we knew we needed to update the Master Bathroom.
The rest of house was great.
That bathroom not so great. (Remember the blog about the "Master Bath Meltdown?")
What wasn't so great? Well take your pick from the list below:
A puckering seam in the linoleum right in the middle of the floor
Globs of caulk from a husband DIY project
Blue walls since we ripped off 2 layers of wall paper
Cheap, gold speckled countertop of some unknown material
Horrible 1970's vanity
A toilet big enough and theperfect height for a mouse
Tile half way up the wall all around the bathroom
No vent
Few lights
Really the list goes on and on...
In preparation for the bathroom remodel we looked for design ideas on Pinterest. I absolutely love that site. I can get lost in it for days. Here are the photos that we used for inspiration:

ok, now it's time for the big reveal!!!! You can see how our bathroom turned out!

BEFORE AFTER
I tried to not make the before and after picks not look like before/after picks of dieters...you know when they show people without make-up looking really ragged in their before pics and then their after photos they have make-up, a tan, and nicer clothes...
oh and they lost a few pounds. Of course they look better!
In the case of the bathroom, the before pics were really that bad
and the after pics are really that nice.
We can't believe we were living in the old bathroom for so long when we look at these pics. Getting ready in the new bathroom we feel like we're in a high-end hotel and we love it! It's exciting to see all your remodel decisions come to life and actually love the way it turned out! (Remember the blog "Remodel Mania" when we were picking out all the bathroom stuff?)
We want to give a shout out to our contractor for doing such a great job. His name is Jeff Nothacker and he owns Xpert Renovations in Naperville, IL.
Here's a link to his website with contact information- Click here.
He had an excellent eye for design and attention to detail while keeping the project on the timeline. We are so happy with his work that we're saving up to have him
refresh our kitchen next!
Ok, at this time I promise not post anymore pics of the bathroom on Facebook or the blog. I also promise to stop gushing about it. ;-) I just wanted to show you the Before and After photos so you could see the progress.

I'm so happy we kept the poop wall ;)
Only thing that would improve it is some quad-ply TP
A vast improvement from top to bottom, the sink and mirror mainly. You guys should think about repainting, looks great though!
